Im super impressed by the not only the level of polish in this game, but the amount of content as well. After learning the transmutation mechanic and seeing that theres 8 levels i didnt expect a huge amount of variety throughout the puzzles, but dripfeeding new mechanics throughout the game made it consistently fresh and enjoyable.

The graphics look great too with a nice style to them. I especially like the water parting when you collide with it.

The movement feels very snappy, although i feel a little more drag on the ground would be nice to make avoiding spikes easier. Also i found an exploid where if you jump while the gold is moving up it gives you a huge boost which can be used to bypass basically all of level 7. Overall the movement is rlly nice tho it feels satisfying even just to aimlessly run around.

Rlly cool game, hope you add more content because i had a lot of fun playing it :)

I am incredibly happy that you enjoyed the game, and do not fret, I am already in the progress of making more levels and content and gimmicks for the full release of the game!

As for that glitch where you can jump at the same time the platform launches you, I am intimately familiar with it, as many people have had that issue. So I am planning on fixing while I work on new levels!

Thank you for playing!

Fun puzzle game with simple easy to learn mechanics.
Liked the crisp pixel art. Good job! :^)

Nice game, makes good use of the alchemy theme with very clever and unique effects.  I got stuck on the metal spikes with the magnet, but precision platformers are not my genre.  Smart game design though!

This is so far my favorite game that I have found.  I only started my game design journey 6 weeks ago so I am not qualified by any means to really pass judgement, but I've been playing games for 30 years and yours really REALLY brought a smile to my face.  Simple (as in not overly ambitious like my entry) and extremely well executed.  Bravo.  Very head scratchy puzzles too, big fan.

That you and everyone else has enjoyed it so much makes me feel so awesome. I’m very glad that you enjoyed it.

And I’m glad my simplicity and small scope helped me make a very well polished game that you can call your favorite of the Game Jam! Thank you so much for the feedback, and seriously, the fact that you claim this is your favorite game means so much to me, it makes me feel like it’s all worth it.

And when it comes to your game development, keep on working hard and having fun! I remember when I was only a few weeks into game development, and you can always get better!

A fantastic looking puzzle/platformer with some of the most well thought out and cool mechanics I've seen!

Firstly let me just point out that I almost immediately found a cheese in that you can jump as you are rising on the weighted blocks and it sends you SUPER HIGH. This isn't much of an issue until you get to the 2nd last level where you can just skip most of the level and go straight to the door.

The game looks great, the pixel art is 10/10 and the design of the character, props and environment items are all extremely easy to read and communicate the intent and goal very well. I was a little confused then I first started the game as I changed to gold and couldn't jump past the first little tutorial message. Once I realised changing has an effect on the characters movement though it was quickly resolved without further issues.

The audio is great across the board, very chiptune/retro with some crunchy SFX in there.

The puzzles were a lot of fun too, not to difficult either and had a really steady and well planned increase to the mechanic complexity. Besides the aforementioned cheese there weren't any mechanical issues. I did find the return to the original "charge point?" particularly hard on level 5 though, the first gold/spring trap seems to move much faster than the one later in the level and I died quite a few times.

I really enjoyed the changing metallic properties of the character it would be awesome to see it expanded in the future if you decide to develop the game further or add more levels. I had a lot of fun with this.

Your kind words mean the world to me, I’m so happy you enjoyed it so much.

And I am unfortunately well acquainted with the super jumping glitch, as many people have found it lol. I’m working on patching that one out!

Extremely cool concept, hope you keep building on this.

Thanks a lot! And I already am continuing to build on this game, since a lot of people seem to enjoy it, and I'm learning a lot from it as well!

Really cute puzzle. Really like the aesthetics of this one!

Cute looking transmuting potato guy. The game is fun and quite difficult for me, I kept clicking the wrong transmutation cus' I'm dumb xD

Keep up the good work !

Love this concept of transmuting to solve puzzles, super nice use of the theme. The art style and music are super nice as well, awesome job.

thank you so much! I was really worried the music wouldn’t sound good since I haven’t really composed any music before, but I’m glad my worries were unfounded!

Yo this is awesome! The gameplay is very polished and fluid, and it's a great mix of platforming and puzzle solving. I'd have happily kept playing if there were more levels

Thank you so much for the nice compliments! I’m hoping to get more levels done by tomorrow evening before submissions close :)
